The Ethical Banker blog is designed to be an open discussion of many different points of view surrounding the issues that create conflict and confusion between the pursuit of profits and the pursuit of good corporate ethics.

If you have a question about banking and ethics you can submit it online for our experts to ponder on and answer.

Are banking and ethics mutually exclusive? Is there a place for the ethical banker or ethics in banking? Is the pursuit of profit from customers more important than the ramifications of the financial product on the life of the customer?

These and more questions create an interesting an fertile ground for bankers, philosophers, lawyers, consumer advocates and consumers to have a polite and open discourse to explore how we as a global society feel about these issues.

This blog has been organized and is supported by the Myvesta Foundation, a global social enterprise that helps people with financial issues. But that does not mean that this blog should tilt in favor of the consumer. The goal is to strive to reach a wide open and flat plain of fairness and equality to all parties involved in the questions, now that would be something to aim for.
